A batch of seven mugs came out of the kiln this week. Every one is different, which is the polite way of saying that I did not plan it that way. Here they are, from best to a very nice pencil holder.

The ranking

  1. The tall one. Holds an entire coffee and has a handle that agrees with the hand.
  2. The one with the blue glaze. It ran a little at the base, which looks intentional.
  3. The squat one. Cute. Cold tea disappears into it.
  4. The one with the handle on slightly sideways.
  5. The one that leaked, then stopped, then leaked again. It has opinions.
  6. The one that is now more of a bowl.
  7. A very nice pencil holder.
